Adam Richman is an American actor, television personality and culinary expert who is perhaps best known to American cable television viewers as the host of the Travel Channel's program Man v. Food.
Adam Richman was born on 16 May 1974 at New York City, New York, USA.Richman grew up in Brooklyn, New York.A self-educated food expert, since 1995 he has kept a travel journal including each of the restaurants he visited and what he learned from the trip. Although described as "a bit on the husky side", to maintain his health while indulging for the show, Richman exercises twice a day while he's on the road. When the schedule permits, he does not eat the day before a challenge and he tries to stay "crazy hydrated" by drinking lots of water or club soda and foregoing coffee or soft drinks. He completed his undergraduate degree in International Studies at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.He got his master degree from the Yale School of Drama May 2003.He acted in Guest Role in the movies,The Guiding Light, All My Children, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and in 2004 he portrayed God as a butcher on Joan of Arcadia.
Richman was not available for interviews during his visit in Springfield. He told a reporter he was dismayed that an earlier newspaper story contained the estimated shooting times in the three restaurants, because huge crowds make it difficult for his crew.He ends each show(“Man Vs. Food,”)with one of that city’s food challenges, ranging from a 72-ounce steak to a gigantic pizza to an order of the hottest curry on the planet. The show is fun and entertaining, and Richman is a natural. We had the chance to talk to Adam about his new gig, and more.
